Named after one of Humboldt's most dedicated sports enthusiasts, the Elgar Petersen Arena (EPA) is home to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Humboldt Broncos as well as the Humboldt Minor Hockey Association, Humboldt Skating Club, and several men's and women's recreational hockey teams.
